Abstract

698,374. Hopper feeds. AMERICAN CYANAMID CO. Aug. 22, 1951. [Sept. 2, 1950] No. 19796/51. Class 78 (i). Flexible double cone 16 is secured by sleeve 19 and supported by ring 18, the ring 18 being secured to a journal 23 carrying a ballbearing 24 supported by stationary collar 25 carried by spring 26 supported by adjustable stop 27, the rod 21 which supports the assembly being secured at 22 to a fixture. The cone is agitated by the reciprocating motion of link 29 so that material e.g. powder falls into hopper 12, is agitated by beaters 13 and by compressed air 15 and falls into measuring pockets in drum 11.
