697,192. Furniture metal joints; WHITFIELD & CO., Ltd., S. B. March 20, 1952 [April 23, 1951], No. 9392/51. Class 52(ii) Metal corner joints particularly for bedsteads, comprising interfitting plug and socket components the plug and socket are respectively welded to the bedstead frame and to the bedstead leg. As shown the plug E is provided with a spigot part D receivable in a slot C in the vertical flange B<SP>1</SP> of the end frame member B of the bedstead and is welded thereto. The end members B are then welded to the side members A, the sockets G placed in position on the plugs E and the sockets G finally welded to the legs H.
