Abstract

618,720. Cabinet beds. JOSEPH, H. Nov. 18, 1946, No. 34166. [Class 52 (ii)] A folding bedstead comprises a frame formed of two members 10, 11 hinged together and an end supporting member 19 connected to the frame member 10 by a pivot 17, the member 19 rocking about pivots 21 on the wall of a cabinet 23 into which the bedstead is adapted to fold when a second end member 27 is moved towards the cabinet. The frame member 11 is connected to the end member 27 by links 25 and may be held in its extended position by a hook 29 with a latch 30. To fold the bedstead the member 11 is removed from the hook 29 and the end supporting member 27 is moved towards the cabinet thus rocking the head end supporting member 19 about its pivots 21. According to the Provisional Specification the head supporting member 19 pivots about its feet 32.
