Abstract
694,643. Transformers and inductors. MAR. CONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Jan. 12, 1951 [May 25, 1950], No. 13205/50. Class 38 (ii). An inductor, for use, for example, in audio frequency amplifiers and filters in air-borne radio equipment, has a laminated magnetic core consisting of two stacks C, D of E-shaped laminations, the limbs of the laminations of each stack being similarly directed, and the two stacks being superimposed with their limbs side-by-side and oppositely directed and with their adjacent side faces separated from each other by one or more laminations I of non. magnetic material which form gaps in the core flux paths. The part I may be a single E-shaped lamination of electrical insulating material, and the arrangement is to provide a high " Q " value and consistent characteristics in quantity production.
