Abstract
685,804. Dry shavers. KOBLER, V., and KOBLER, W., [trading as KOBLER & CO.]. Dec. 27, 1950 [Jan. 18, 1950], No. 31423/50. Class 131 A dry shaver comprises a number of elongated cutter heads, the longitudinal axis of at least two of the heads being closer together at one end than at the other. As shown, two spaced cutter heads 1. 1<SP>1</SP> of the type described in Specification 629,933, are inclined in plan relatively to each other. The inner blades 3 are reciprocated within the stationary aperture,d guard 2 by separate driving arms or by a common driving arm 4. Because of their inclination, the inner blades are disposed at a small angle to the direction of movement of the driving arm, and the bush 6 has a slight transverse as well as a longitudinal movement in a follower gap 8 in the blade 3. Friction is avoided by pivoting of the bush 6 on pins 5. In modifications, three or more cutter heads are provided and one, at least, of the cutter heads is mounted on the shaver so as to be adjustable angularly, in plan, with respect. to the other head or heads.
