516,242. Dry shavers. PHILLIPS, H., and WESTOOL, Ltd. June 22, 1938, No. 18578. [Class 131] In a dry shaver the cutter head comprises a slotted surface formed on a complete cylinder with the slots extending in an axial direction and a co-operating cutter. The slots c extend partially round the cylinder plain portions b of substantial thickness being left for reinforcement purposes. The cutter comprises blades d mounted on blocks i having stems j slidable. in a boss k of the driving 'shaft and secured by pins m. The cutter instead of being rotated may be oscillated about a centre offset from the centre of the head and if desired the cutter may be a slotted cylinder or slotted blades.
