Abstract

665,779. Screw caps. INTERNATIONAL BOTTLE CO., Ltd., and MAIER, J. A. July 11, 1950. [July 11, 1949] No. 18315/49. Class 125(iii). A screw cap for bottles &c. consisting of a skirt 11 formed integrally with a cover 12 from which depends an integral solid cylinder 13, the interior of the skirt having a screw thread 14 which engages a complementary thread on the bottle neck and the cylinder 13 entering the neck of the bottle to form an airtight and leakproof closure, and made of rubber or a synthetic resin, has a shallow dome 17 and is enclosed by an ornamental metal ring 16. In other forms the projection 13 is of varied shapes and may be hollow or support a rod or tube or brush.
