659,146. Closures for vehicle petrol tanks &c. WESTWOOD RIM & PATENTS, Ltd., WESTWOOD, S. C., and WESTWOOD, N. F. May 12, 1949, No. 12665. [Class 125(iii)] A bayonet-joint closure for a vehicle petrol tank or the like comprises a metal ring a which is adapted to fit tightly over the outer end of the neck g of the tank and has an annular channel b to accommodate a packing ring c and a dependent flange e forming part of the bayonet-joint connection. The ring may be secured in position, e.g. by brazing.
