658,333. Hasp fastenings. VINCENT, E. Feb. 25, 1949, No. 5225. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1948. [Class 44] A hasp fastening for trunks &c. comprises a box-like casing 3 pivoted to a plate 1 secured to one part, and having an opening 25 at the bottom and side of one end so that it may engage over a dice-shaped member 10 secured to the other part and provided with a spring catch 16 which engages a shoulder 27 inside the end wall of the casing 3 when the latter is turned. As shown, the casing is formed in two parts fitting one inside the other, and carries key lock mechanism comprising a spring bolt 32 which in locked position engages a stop 9 on the plate 1.
