[Class 80(ii)] In an electromagnetic plate clutch, the armature disc 20 acts on the presser plate 25 through push rods 22 adjustably screwed in the disc 20 as to be accessible from outside, the rods being slidable in longitudinal holes in the magnet core 12. The latter is secured to an annular member 10 secured to a flanged member 5 which is journalled on the driven shaft 1 and to which a driving gear 7 is secured. Ventilating passages and grooves 2a, 10a, 12a, 12b are provided in the various members, and the outer face of the disc 20 has grooves 20a acting as fan blades.
