Abstract

627,007. Electromagnetic clutches. GRATZMULLER, J. L. July 13, 1945, No. 18012. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1943. [Class 35] In a slip coupling one member carries a D.C. energized winding and the other a wound armature in which A.C. is induced and connected to an external circuit including an automatically adjustable device for absorbing the A.C. As shown, the A.C. from armature 9 is absorbed by the governor controlled resistances 13a-13d and the D.C. fed to the coils 4 on the other member may also be governor controlled. The armature 9 may also carry a short-circuited winding.
