649,977. Band clips. EDSONS (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., and ORTON, E. Oct. 29, 1947, No. 28831. [Class 44] In a split clip formed of two component parts A, B, each having a curved strip or band 1 forming an encircling member and each having radial lugs 2, 2a, at each end for fastening the parts together by means of bolts 6 or pins passing through opposed lugs on each side of the clip, each radial lug 2a is extended to form support arms 5 for attaching a chain case or the like, each arm being of channel shape with, the edges of the side walls 3a of the channel forming part of the encircling band and the ends of lugs 2 being provided with tongues 4 for' bearing on the bottoms of the channel shaped arms 5. The lugs 2 have side flanges 3 which engage over the outside of the side walls 3a and elongated recessed portions 7 are formed in the lugs 2a to receive the heads of the bolts 6 to prevent them turning.
