[Class 4] In a power-operated control system for aircraft, the control surface, e.g. aileron 27, is split into separate sections each actuated by a variablespeed power unit connected through a mechanical, hydraulic or electric link to the pilot's control member-10. Control unit.-A shaft 11 rotated by the pilot's control member 10 or the automatic pilot servomotor 14 drives four Selsyn transmitters 26 through gears 23, 24.
