643,840. Feedwater supply systems for forced-How steam boilers. LA MONT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION, Ltd., and BAUER, F. W. March 31, 1948, No. 4647/50. Divided out of 643,813. [Class 123(ii)] In a water-tube steam boiler in which water from a steam-and-water drum 14 is forced through the several steam-generating sections, such as 17, 20, 22, 28, by a circulating pump 16 having a downcomer or suction pipe 15 and a discharge pipe 16a-16e to each of the said sections, feedwater is supplied to the boiler by a pump 37 which discharges through the usual economizer 33 and the outlet 38 of the latter to one or more of the circulating pump discharge pipes, e.g. 16d of the convection-heated steam-generating section 28. The pipe 16d is provided with a flow-limiting orifice &c. 39 and/or a hand-operated or automatic controlling valve.
