Abstract
431,241. Instantaneous steam generators. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON., Winterthur, Switzerland. Sept. 24, 1934, No. 27342. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1933. [Class 123 (ii)] The feed supply to a once-through boiler working at sub-critical pressure is increased from time to time to remove impurities from the tube walls in the evaporation zone. Upon the advance of the evaporation zone due to the increased feed supply, impurities are washed into a separator 21, which is dis. charged periodically through a pipe 22, under the control of a valve 23. The valve 20 controlling the supply of additional water and the valve 23 may be operated simultaneously by servomotors.
