633,682. Seats; resilient mountings. RUSTAD, E. Dec. 24, 1947, No. 34235. Convention date, Oct. 1, 1941. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (ii)] A swivel chair which is rotatable comprises a support 2 a depending shaft 3 secured thereto and passing through a sleeve 4 to which the legs 5 are secured, a helical spring 8 mounted between the sleeve 4 and an annular member 10 which serves to hold a ball bearing 16 and a collar or muff 15 adjustably secured to the shaft 3. The collar 15 is split so that it may be clamped by means of a screw 17 in adjusted position on the shaft 3. The annular member 10 is stamped from a blank and comprises a lip 11 of a diameter which will permit it to pass over the top end of the sleeve 4 when the spring 8 is compressed. The member 10 also comprises upstanding arms having lugs adapted to engage over a flange on the collar 15.
