631,157. Bearings. JENDRASSIK, G. Dec. 29, 1947, No. 34467. Convention date, Aug. 28, 1940. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] In a gas turbine, the rotor bearings 7, 7<SP>1</SP> are supported by at least three non-radially situated bar-shaped members 8, 8<SP>1</SP> connected to the stator. These bars are symmetrically arranged around the axis of rotation of the shaft and are preferably tangentially connected to the bearing. The connection at either end of each bar 8 may be rigid or articulated. The bearings are cooled by circulating liquid through pipes 14 .. 17.
