The generators 4 are driven by a contrarotating radial-flow turbine 1 and axial-flow turbines 3 arranged in series therewith. The shafts are supported by bearings 11 arranged between the axial and radial-flow rotors and resiliently mounted bearings 12. The axialflow rotors are bolted to the generator shafts and have integral shafts bolted to the shafts 2 of the radial-flow rotors.
