618,739. Regulating. SIMMS MOTOR UNITS, Ltd., DUNN, H. G., and HULL, C. H. Nov. 27, 1946, No. 35241. [Class 7 (vi)] Rotation of an eccentric 5 by means of a rod 21 connected to a bellows 12 subject to boost pressure adjusts a fuel injection pump control rod 1, actuated through a member 2 connected to an accelerator pedal or governor, in accordance with the boost pressure. The lever 1 is pivoted to an eccentric pin carried by a block 5 rotatable in a bore 6 in member 2 and to which is fastened the lever 21, rotation of which causes the pin to move the member 1 relative to member 2. At idling the pin is near its dead-centre position with respect to the axis of the members 1, 2, so that pressure fluctuations produce very little movement of the member 1. A distance-piece 22, which may be adjustable, limits the contraction of the bellows 12, which may be replaced by a spring-loaded plunger or diaphragm. A crank may also replace the eccentric 5.
