[Class 7 (vi)] An accelerator-pedal actuated rod h moves the fuel-pump control rod through a lever g pivoted about a cross-head e movable in a slot f by a rod d actuated by a piston c subject to the blower delivery pressure, the slot f being arranged parallel to the rod d at idling so that fluctuations in blower pressure have no effect in this position. A recess m prevents leakage of pressure past the piston, and at the maximum permissible blower pressure a byepass valve k opens, whereby piston c is raised to reduce the fuel supply and hence the engine speed.
