Abstract

610,725. Preventing incrustation. GULDAGER, A. Dec. 12, 1945, No. 33578. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1942. [Class 123(i)] Incrustation in a steam boiler, fed with water consisting substantially of condensed steam, is prevented by subjecting the feedwater, which may be heated, to a low voltage electrolytic treatment in an external tank through which it is passed. A sufficient quantity of an electrolyte, such as caustic soda, &c., is supplied to the tank, and water from the boiler is recirculated, preferably continuously, therethrough.
