Abstract

602,920. Optical apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. Dec. 20, 1945, No. 34576. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1942. [Class 97 (i)] A reflector is mounted, for limited rotation about two perpendicular axes, at one end of an arm pivoted at that end to a bracket mounted for rotation about a perpendicular axis, two screws engaging the other end of the arm each causing rotation about one axis. As applied to a coincidence range-finder of the type described in Specification 602,921, a semitransparent mirror 17 is carried by a frame 39- having an extension arm 20 of L-shaped crosssection, the outer ends of which are held against adjusting screws 28, 29 by a spring 26. The frame 39 is pivoted at 40, 41 for rotation about axis AA to a bracket 51, 50 pivoted about the axis BB on a ring 46. Adjustment of screw 28 therefore causes limited rotation about the axis AA and of the screw 29 rotation about axis BB. The adjustments serve for centring and otherwise adjusting the reflected image.
