Abstract

589,987. Belt-tensioning devices. BELCHER, A. April 6, 1945, No. 8593. Convention date, April 24, 1944. [Class 80 (i)] The intermediate stepped belt pulley 22 supporting belts 14, 16, inclined at an angle to one another and connecting driving and driven pulleys 13 and 17, is adjustably supported on a machine frame 10, by means of discs 19, 20. The latter are arranged on opposite sides of the frame 10, and are clamped thereto by a screwed rod 23, which passes through an enlarged hole 25 in the frame 10. The disc 19 is integral with the axle 21 supporting the pulley 22. The-intermediate pulley 22 may comprise two parts, one on each side of the frame 10.
