[Class 137] Ventilator fittings as described in Specification 398,951 have a movable and a fixed perforated disc 4, 8, at the mouth of the fitting to regulate the passage of air therethrough, the movable disc being secured to and rotated by the midfeathers 5 carrying the co-axial rings 16 or, if the midfeathers are fixed, by a central spindle. To limit the extent of movement of the midfeathers a stop in the form of a lug or of a nut 3 is carried by a loose ring 1 resting on the fixed part 2 of the fitting, the ring being adjustably secured in position by a screw 7 which projects through an elongated slot in the part 2. Alternative mountings comprise an adjustable sleeve carrying a nut, or a clip secured to part 2 by a pin passing -through a slot in an index plate, or a movable slotted quadrant with an upturned lug may be locked in position on part 2. Another adjustable stop comprises a bracket 19 secured to the fixed disc 8 with its projecting end 20 protruding through one of the openings in the movable disc 4 and having an adjustable fin 21 abutting against a bracket 22 fixed to disc 4, which is operated by a spindle rotating within a tubular centre of stationary midfeathers by hand, key or detachable handle.
