Abstract

575,602. Mountings for reflectors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and WALDRAM, J. M. Sept. 15, 1944, No. 17688. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group XI]. A floor standard consisting of a vertical tubular column 10 mounted on a base spider 11 fitted with castors 12 carries a rotatable tubular extension 13 to which a two-armed lever 15, 16 is adjustably secured by a screw 26, the shorter arm of the lever carrying a projector lantern 18 and the longer arm carrying on a ball joint 20 a reflector 21 by which the beam from the lantern can be directed on to a particular point such as a hospital operating-table. The reflector handle 23 balances the reflector 21 and the extension 13 is joggled so that the centre of gravity of the lever assembly lies on the intersection of the axes of the column 10 and the lever pivot.
