Abstract

574,187. Elevators. SMITH, S. N., and BLACKSTONE & CO., Ltd. Jan. 12, 1944, No. 622. [Class 78 (i)] In agricultural and like elevators of the kind including a trough in which travels a pair of spaced apart endless chains which are connected at intervals by transverse bars provided with tines, the.ends of the bars form integral parts of the chains and are removable readily therefrom. Each end of a tubular tine bar 1 is flattened at 11 and welded to a plate 4 which forms the inner side of one of the chain links. The remainder of the link may consist of a plate 5, Fig. 3, and studs 6, or of round bar bent to U-shape 7, Fig. 5.
