799,633. Driving chains. COTTON, Ltd., W. Aug. 4, 1955 [Oct. 9, 1954], No.29141/54. Class 24 [Also in Group VIII] The roller or rollers 32 for transmitting the drive from a chain 1 to the thread carriers of straight-bar knitting-machine is or are mounted on a member 31 on one or each side of the chain and which serves as a link for joining two parts of the chain. Two pins 12, 13 extend through the ends of the chain and through the member or members 31, as shown in the Figure to secure the chain and members together. Alternatively, the roller may be mounted between two chains on a member similar to the member 31 but which is secured by pins to both chains.
