Abstract

573,697. Band clips. JAMIE, R. C. S., and HUNT & TURNER, Ltd. Aug. 17, 1943, No. 13397. [Class 44] In a multiple metal hose clip the separate bands, wires or cables forming the clip are connected together in spaced relationship at one or more points intermediate their ends by one or more flexible strips or wires. Figs. 1, 2 show four bands 1-4 of metal strip connected together by transverse strips 10 spot-welded to the bands at 11 and corrugated at 12. Tightening may be effected by any suitable means such as screw 6 engaging nut 7, or by provision of slots or projections at one end of the band engaged by a worm mounted in a housing carried by the other end of the band. The bands may be of wire or cable looped at their ends to receive transverse members as described in Specification 573,695, and when the bands are of wire or cable the connecting members may be of wire looped around the wire bands and soldered in place. The pap between the ends of a band is bridged by a curved strip 9 spot-welded to one end of the band.
