Abstract

534,246. Band clips. LINOLITE, Ltd., and BEUTTELL, A. W. Nov. 14, 1939, No. 30020. [Class 44] In a band clip completely encircling the pipe &c. twice and tightened by screw, a preferably rectangular separately formed link is incorporated through which a lap of the band passes. Fig. 1 shows the band in two parts connected by a link b through which the lap a is passed. As shown, one end of a T-ended bolt c is engaged by one end of the band, the other end of the bolt receiving a tightening nut d between which and the end of the band a block e may be used. The ends of the band may be bent completely round the T-end of the bolt and the block. Modifications are described in which the band is in one piece with one end connected to the nut by a link. In one of these the nut is formed from strip bent to U-form, the screw bolt passing through threaded holes in both limbs and the link being accommodated in the bight.
