Abstract
568,744. Warp leasing devices. ZELLWEGER AKT.-GES. APPARATE- & MASCHINENFABRIKEN USTER. July 30, 1943, No. 12413. Convention date, July 31, 1942. [Classes 142 (ii) and 142 (iv)] A leasing apparatus for a warp-tying or other warp-preparing machine is provided with means for detecting a faulty sequence of the individual threads and for stopping the machine when such sequence occurs. The threads a, b forming the lease are guided over and under a lease rod 23 additional to the usual lease cords 21 in a predetermined sequence differing from that of the lease formed about the cords 21, and in dividing out the threads above and below the lease rod 23, the threads are engaged by a detecting lever 8. On the occurrence of a faulty sequence in the threads, the lever 8 falls into a recess 7 in a control disc 5 and operates a switch 11 to stop the machine. In a machine employing a 1 : 1 lease, the threads are arranged about the lease rod in a 2: 2 lease, and two recesses 7 are provided upon the disc 5, spaced at 90 degrees apart. The disc 5, which is rotated by ratchet gearing 2, 3 makes one revolution for each four threads divided out, and the recesses 7 are so disposed that they are in alignment with a projection 9 on the lever 8 when the lever engages a thread passing over the lease rod 23. The machine is restarted by the depression of a hand button 18 which by links 15, 17 operates a pawl 14 to rotate a ratchet 13 secured to the sleeve 6 carrying the control disc 5.
