771,374. Weft replenishing in looms. FISCHER AKT.-GES., G. July 27, 1954 [Aug. 1, 1953], No. 21944/54. Class 142 (2). To permit the number of cops forming a group in the cop magazine to be varied from two to four, a manually adjustable stop 84 is provided to determine the position of a control lever 79 by which a toothed wheel 74 is rotated. When the wheel 74 is positioned according to the number of cops in a group in the magazine, the magazine 56 is rotated by gearing 76, 77, 78, the wheels 76, 78 being carried by a sector which is moved angularly with respect to the axis of the wheels 74, 77 by a link 70, the initial position of which is determined by the position of the drop box and which, when the new cop is called for, is actuated by a cam on the picking shaft. The control lever 79 carries a pawl 81 engaging the teeth on the wheel 74, and upon call for a cop, the lever 79 is released by a catch 26, and under the action of a spring 83, the pawl 81 rotates the wheel 74 until the lever 74 engages the stop. The lever 74 is returned to its position for engaging the catch 26 by a slotted link 82 actuated by the slay.
