561,133. Roofs. MATTHEWS, C. B., and AMBROSE, J. G. Dec. 21, 1942, No. 18149. [Class 20 (iv)] A roof truss is formed of inclined reinforced concrete beams 1 joined at the top and connected at the bottom by tie rods 4 which are held together by stirrups or cross members 6, 7 preventing distortion of the rods by compression during suspension of the truss in erection. The tie rods are connected to the top of the truss by bars 5 which may be embedded in concrete.
