552,746. Knitting-machines. TOONE (NOTTINGHAM), Ltd., B., and COLE, B. T. Oct. 20, 1941, No. 13446. Drawings to Specification. [Class 74 (ii)] Picker mechanism for operating upon the needle jacks of a circular machine in the production of heel and toe pockets by rotary knitting comprises a feeler for travelling along a line of butts to drop in behind the last one thereof, a driving member or catch connected to the feeler to engage temporarily in front of the butts when the feeler drops in so as to be driven by the butt, and a picking member driven by the catch to make a picking movement. The mechanism is described in Specification 547,900. Specifications 532,520 and 532,586 also are referred to in the Provisional Specification.
