Abstract

1321298 Knitting-machines C TERROT SOHNE 17 Sept 1970 44482/70 Heading D1C A circular machine has a cam 5 whose bottom edge acts on the butts of jacks associated with inactive needles such that the butts of such needles pass below the stitch cam 6 without contact. Jack butts 2b associated with active needles are pushed into their tricks by cam 3, and as they are lowered with the needles are maintained behind a guard 4 so that they are influenced by cam 5. The inactive jacks move in a track below cam 3, on the other side of the guard till they reach cam 5.
