Abstract
552,128. Wall and ceiling coverings. HITCHENS, S. Sept. 19, 1941, No. 12054. [Classe 20 (ii) and 20 (iv)] Lengths of angle section rods a<SP>1</SP> used for supporting wall and ceiling boards, are united by a U-shaped bent metal junction b which slidably engages in slots c cut in the webs a at the ends of two abutting rod lengths. H-section rods are united by two U-shaped junctions or by a C- shaped junction engaging slots. in the webs adjacent both flanges of the rods. To, facilitate the connection of an end length, the U-shaped junction is only partially bent before application and is bent to its final form after engaging the slots in the rod lengths. The junctions may be bolted to the rods.
