[Class 99 (ii).] A lead pipe 1 strengthened by an external concrete shell 2, preferably reinforced by longitudinal wires &c. 3 and a helically-wound wire 4, for pipe or cable conduits &c. is provided with end jointing flanges 5. The flanges are disposed between the ends of the concrete shell and the ends 6 of the pipe which project beyond the said shell and are bent outwardly.
