Abstract

544,870. Brush handles. PROUDLOVE, N. June 10, 1941, No. 7318. [Classes 19 and 61 (i)] A twisted wire brush, mop &c. is secured to the handle by engaging the shanks a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> of the twisted wires in grooves in the handle C and the bent over ends a<SP>3</SP>, a<SP>4</SP> of the wires in radial holes c, a sliding sleeve D locking the parts in position. In the modification shown in Fig. 13 the wire shanks a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> are received in grooves in the sliding sleeve D. Fig. 8 shows a brush A fixed in similar manner to the handle C and having wire bristles b<SP>2</SP> bent to lie at an inclination to the axis.
