Abstract
541,324. Alloys. MOND NICKEL CO., Ltd. Feb. 21, 1941, No. 2399. Convention date March 29, 1940. [Class 82 (i)] Castings particularly for use at temperatures in excess of 700‹F. such as valve bodies, valve seats and guides, pistons, re-action vessels, and other articles, are made from nickel-copper alloys consisting of at least 50 per cent. of nickel, at least 10 per cent. of copper, 0.02-1 per cent. of zirconium, up to a total of 5 per cent. of iron or manganese or both, 0.04-0.6 per cent. of carbon, and 0.5-5 per cent. of silicon. The nickel may contain a small proportion of cobalt.
