[Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] The tubes a of a heat exchanger are secured to the header tube plates e in separately removable sections each consisting of one or more rows of tubes held in end strips d which are adapted to be slid into engagement with the flanged edges of slots in the tube plates. The sides h of the end strips are bent inwards to engage the outwardly bent edges g of the slots. After assembly, the end strips and the tube plates are united by dipping in solder.
