Abstract

537,428. Spray carburetters; valves. VANNI, P. G. Dec. 20, 1939, No. 32595. Convention date, Dec. 22, 1938. [Classes 7 (iii) and 7 (vi)] [Also in Group XXVI] Liquid fuel delivered by a gear wheel pump is passed to a rotary distributer which comprises a single ported disc 28, Fig. 6, rotating between a ported casing and a correspondingly ported disc 29. The disc 29 can be turned by a lever 15 to move the ports 12 in the disc out of line with the ports 10 in the casing. Alternatively one of the pump wheels can be ported and arranged to act as a distributer. The fuel passes to an induction pipe, Fig. 9, through a bifurcated pipe 57. Some fuel enters a swirling chamber 52 by a tangential entry 53 and when the swirling lowers the pressure in the chamber 55 sufficiently a ball-valve 56 opens to admit further fuel.
