Abstract

531,975. Seats. WEYMANN'S MOTOR BODIES (1925), Ltd., and SKEATS, R. G. July 14, 1939, No. 20574. [Class 52 (ii)] A seat is provided with a removable upholstered back section 21 attached to the frame by sliding bolts 23, 24 mounted either as shown on the back section and engaging bolt holes in the frame, or mounted on the frame and engaging holes in the removable section. The upholstered back section carries a rib 22, Fig. 2, engaging under a channel 20 supported by the tubular side members of a seat and carries a rotatable plate 26 to which are pivoted slidable bolts 23, 24 engaging holes in the sides of the seat. The bolts are withdrawn by a key fitting a projection on the plate 26 a spring 33 holding them normally in the extended position. Lateral ears 31, 32 on the back open up the front of the side members of the seat in order to locate bolts correctly.
