Abstract

437,562. Sliding seats. MORRIS MOTORS, Ltd., and PRIESTLEY, G. A., Cowley, Oxford. Jan. 31, 1935, No. 3136. [Class 52 (ii)] In a motor-vehicle seat the seat frame includes a pair of lower horizontal tubular side members b one or both of which have one or more headed bolts j which co-operate with key-hole slots h, i, in the upper surface of one or both of the guides c on which the side members are slidably supported. The upper surface of the guides may be dished to accommodate the convex under surface of the side members. A spring control bolt p, v, s may be provided on one of the side members, co-operating with holes n in the guides so as to lock the seat in any selected position into which it has been slid. The tubular lower horizontal side members b may be formed integrally with the seat frame which is also made of metal tube.
