April 28, 1938, No. 12669...[Class 52 (ii)] In a tilting and sliding seat for vehicles the tubular side members b of the under frame are connected by a crossbar c rotatable in bearings e<1> carried by plates c slidable in guides f secured to the floor of the vehicles. The seat is locked in the adjusted position by a spring-pressed plunger g carried by one of the slide plates and engaging one of a series of holes in a flange f<1> of the corresponding guide f. The plunger is withdrawn by a lever h<1> pivoted at i to the slide plate. Tubular spacers c<1> on the crossbar c prevent side play. One of the side members b is engaged by a clip ,j which may be slidably mounted on the vehicle floor to adjust the height. of the seat.
