530,543. Propelling aircraft. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG - UND - MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. June 27, 1939. No. 18663. Convention date, July 9, 1938. Addition to 506,699. Drawings to Specification. [Class 4] Aero-engine exhaust pipes constructed and arranged as described in the parent Specification have their free ends connected together by means of one or more coupling bars in order to suppress oscillations. As shown, fishplates are secured to the exhaust pipes by welding or soldering and the fish-plates are connected by bars disposed above and below the pipes. Clearance in the securing means may provide for expansion and the bar below the pipes may be braced to a part not subject to the oscillations.
