Abstract
527,544. Rotary pumps. THOMPSON PRODUCTS, Inc. April 14, 1939, No. 11363. Convention date, April 25, 1938. [Class 110 (ii)] Constant radial acceleration and retardation are given to the sliding vanes as they pass from one concentric portion to the other of the stator. Also the number of the vanes lying between the concentric portions is always two or a multiple of two. By these means the sum of the displacements of the projecting portions of the blades is kept constant without causing mechanical shock. The pump may have one abutment as shown, or, any number of abutments. The Specification sets out the methods of determining the necessary form of the non- circular portions of the stator surface.
