[Class 7 (ii)] In an overhead-valve engine the combustion chamber is substantially restricted to a part, containing the sparking plug 7, located below a pair of exhaust valves 3 ; a further part 6<1> comprising an anti-detonating pocket is.formed by the close approach of the piston face to a single inlet valve 2. The combustion chamber is shaped triangular in section transverse to the cylinder axis, and the valves are operated by a single cam shaft 8.
