Abstract
523,297. Scaffold clamps. MILLS, Ltd., EXECUTORS OF, J., and MACBETH, A. Sept. 28, 1938, No. 28160. [Class 20 (ii)] A scaffold-clamp comprises two elements, one a hook snaped element 5 adapted to hook around one scaffold member 6 and provided with a shank 7 which passes through an aperture 9 of an L-shaped member 8 with one end 12 shaped to bear on the scaffold member 6 and the other 10 to embrace the second scaffold member 11. The clamp is tightened by a nut 13 or by a wedge passing through an aperture in the shank of the hook element. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to U.S.A. Specification 2,080,916.
