521,704. Cycle frames. AUTO UNION AKT.- GES. Nov. 21, 1938, No. 33855. Convention date, Nov. 20, 1937. [Class 136 (iii)] In a frame for motor and other cycles of the type comprising a forked rear portion and a separate central portion detachably secured together, the rear portion comprises two equal V-shaped members 8, 8a (e.g., sheet-metal pressings), each integral in itself and secured to one side of the central portion 6 through distance pieces 40. The central portion 6 is of box-section, and the arms 8a of the V- shaped members are secured to it by spaced bolts 41, 42, which pass through the distance pieces 40. The bolts 41 or 42 can be used as supports for footrests 43 at the bottom, or as saddle supports 44 at the top. A spring- controlled wheel-carrying fork 2 is pivoted at 4 to a bracket 5.
