[Class 7 (iii)] Fuel is injected through an inclined nozzle c in the' cylinder head into a spherical combustion -chamber b which is formed in the piston a and communicates with the cylinder space through an opening having rounded ends d, e. The diameter of the opening is 7 of the diameter of the sphere and the axis of the fuel nozzle passes through the centre of the sphere.
