Abstract

[Class 7 (iii).] A fuel nozzle d and a recess g in the piston a are arranged eccentrically with respect to the piston axis, and the combustion chamber has its centre of volume nearer the piston axis than the centroid of the plan area of the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber which is formed with a round ended milling cutter rotated about the axis j, is shaped as the closed end of a cylinder with a rounded corner.
